Rose & Tom's Story
Some weddings are about two people. Others, like Rose and Tom's celebration at High Billinghurst Farm, are unmistakably about a whole family. With their two children walking Rose down the aisle and a carousel turning away in the background, theirs was one of the most joy filled days I've had the honour of leading as celebrant.

A Setting for Something Different
High Billinghurst Farm, hidden away at the end of its own private lane in the Surrey countryside, has a way of encouraging couples to think beyond the traditional. Its barns, fireplaces and open countryside give a day room to breathe, and Rose and Tom used that space to bring in something few ceremonies include: a full size carousel, turning quietly nearby as guests arrived and celebrated.
Walked Down the Aisle by Her Children
For Rose, having her two children walk her down the aisle was never going to be a small detail tucked into the day, it was the heart of it. Building a ceremony around that moment meant thinking carefully about pacing, words and tone, so the significance of that walk landed exactly as it should. It's the kind of request that reminds me why no two ceremonies I write are ever the same.

Finding the Confidence to Speak From the Heart
One of the parts of this work I care about most is helping a nervous bride or groom find their own voice. Rose has spoken since about how much it meant to be encouraged to say exactly what she wanted to say on the day, in her own words, rather than following anyone else's script. That confidence, paired with plenty of warmth and fun throughout the planning process, shaped a ceremony guests are still talking about.
