Some love stories take an unexpected turn along the way, and Victoria and Declan's is one of the most moving I have had the privilege of being part of. Their journey to their wedding celebration at the stunning Hedsor House is a testament to patience, resilience and the enduring strength of their commitment to each other.
A Wedding Postponed
In 2020, just days before their wedding at Hedsor House, the couple found themselves facing something no one could have planned for. COVID hit, and with it came the sudden need to rethink everything. Rather than lose the day altogether, Victoria and Declan made the decision to marry quietly and intimately, choosing to save their grand celebration for when it could truly be shared with the people they love.

The Celebration, Finally
By March 2022, that moment arrived. Since Victoria and Declan were already legally married, what they wanted was something different from a traditional wedding ceremony: an opportunity to revisit their vows in front of family and friends, and to properly celebrate the milestone that COVID had once threatened to take from them.
Finding the right celebrant for such a personal and unusual brief took time, but once we met, it was clear we were the right fit for each other. Together we crafted a ceremony that honoured everything Victoria and Declan had been through since 2020: the setback, the patience, and the love that carried them to this point.
Hedsor House
Hedsor House is one of Buckinghamshire's most beautiful wedding venues, set within acres of parkland with sweeping views across the Thames Valley. As a celebrant based locally in Buckinghamshire, I have a real fondness for this venue and the way its history and grandeur provide such a fitting setting for a celebration of enduring love.
